Welllll hellllo lovers, and happy Valentine’s Friday!

It’s Friday! It’s Valentine’s Day! It’s President’s Day on Monday so it’s basically a 4-day weekend of celebrating and holiday-ing. Twist my arm and I am here for it! I’ll be starting the merrymaking with my mom’s sugar cookie recipe that I’ve been making since I was in 4th grade. Instead of a glaze, I made frosting to get that trendy Crumbl cookie vibe (that all started here in good old Utah by a fellow Utah State University grad). But these tender cookies are way more flavorful thanks to the hint of almond in the dough. Perfection.

I had a few favorite Super Bowl commercials and thought Nike’s female athlete ad was particularly good and Gatorade’s ad with Grammy award winner Seal as particularly creepy. Here’s a critique of the best and the worst.
