Friday Faves: Dec. 27, 2024

Hello and welcome to Friday Faves!

Clam Dip foodiecrush.com

Our daughter has been home for Christmas and there is only one recipe she’s asked for since she arrived: Her grandpa’s famous chip dip. There’s a reason she loves it so much and why it’s ALWAYS on the celebration table—because it’s deliciously addicting!

There’s so much going on with commitments, projects, and just plain old life that it can be easy to go, go, go nary taking notice of people and things around us. This week my goal is to slow down and be better at taking it all in by following these little reminders to help enjoy the moment.

Meet the 8-year-old dressmaker who holds the Guinness World Record for the world’s youngest runway fashion designer. Just incredible!

I love celebrating with a good champagne cocktail or champagne punch and for those recipes I don’t want to spend all my dollars on the good stuff. That’s when I turn to less expensive types like these 9 fantastic sparkling wines, all under $30 and ready for your NYE fête.

Who else is willing to admit??? 15 words you think you’re pronouncing correctly that you probably aren’t.

We love to cook but we love to eat out just as much. Maybe more…no dishes! When we travel we love searching out the best spots to nosh, that’s why this list of the best places to eat in 2025 is a good one to bookmark for future eating trips.

And, the oldest restaurants in the world.

The perfect good luck meal for New Year’s Day. And my easy cornbread recipe would be the perfect accompaniment!

High brow meets low brow with this caviar and potato chip combo perfection ready for NYE. Delish.

This ultra-creamy salmon pasta looks so divine.

Elegant and refined and what I want to put in my mouth: Ribeye steak skewers are bite-size beauties.

Or, break out the toothpicks for these cheesy chicken bites.

Salads that make a meal are the secret to healthful lunches or dinners but when it’s packed with flavors like those in this chicken salad, I’d eat one for dessert too!

It’s no wonder this nutty cheeseball is a holiday classic. Bring on the party.

The easiest 3-ingredient appetizer.

This one also looks fantastic and easy and only has a few ingredients.

My shrimp and grits are SO good and this version with mushrooms is perfect for a vegetarian vibe.

If you have a KitchenAid stand mixer, these attachments make it so much more useful (and they’re almost 40% off.)

A few favorite prizes Santa stuffed my stocking with this year:

I need to get reading more and this recently rec’d book is next on my list. Have you read it? And my friend said this one from the same author is another must-read.

The house tours Sunset readers loved most in 2024. So much good inspo.

This house is SO fun. That laundry room! That round tub! The bed! And, it’s Utah…

A relaxing yoga routine for insomnia. Go to sleep little baby.

Little ways to make your everyday life more luxurious. I AM IN!

That’s all for this week! Have a wonderful weekend recovering from Christmas and get into the kitchen to cook something amazing! 🙂
